Detoxing Body, Mind and Spirit:  A Close Look at the Internal Landscape

Lately, I have been on a journey of detoxing my physical body.  This did not come out of the blue.  I didn’t wake up one day and say “I think I will detox today.”   Although I am a practitioner and make detox a seasonal part of my self care routine.  This was different.  A stressful life event triggered an auto immune response in my body and sent a distress call in the form of joint pain, food sensitivities, and skin rashes. Time to cleanse.  I knew this was something that I could overcome, but lowering my stress levels and paying attention to the things that I could no longer delay.  My body was pointing out to me imbalances in my life.  Things that were previously not in my control were starting to come into view.  The accumulation of energy could not be denied.  The parasitic influence that was trying to stop me in my tracks was manifesting as a physical torture device.  I set out to restore balance, not only in life through tried and true action steps, but in self care.  This included hydro-colon therapy, herbal supplements, and metal cleansing.  It wasn’t until I passed out mucoid plaque and liver stones that my condition seemed to turn around. Without getting into the details, the physical detox went hand in hand with the life detox.

This experience was showing me the gut as a microcosm, and the body as the experience of reality.  Life can be viewed as an expression of the inner landscape being mirrored back as reality.  If there is something in life that isn’t working look at your internal landscape.  The gut microbiome will show you what needs to be processed.  When the gut is balanced, processing food, and sugars is greatly enhanced.  Those microorganisms and even the parasites that exist in there feed on sugar minimizing toxicity in the blood.  But when we don’t have enough probiotics and prebiotics the digestion suffers, bile flow is limited and the liver doesn’t work efficiently to process the load. It gets stored somewhere in the body tissues.  All other body systems suffer without this delicate balance.  The goal is not to strictly eliminate parasites, but to create inner balance and homeostasis.  This is emotional energy and perhaps putting emotions on the back burner is necessary until the time comes when you can process it.  These out of balanced microorganisms act as a harness not allowing one to live in the fullest expression of the self.  It is the root of cravings, not just for food, but for toxic relationships, situations, media, etc.  As we age, the accumulation of energy can pile up.  In Ayurveda, the Agni or digestive fire is what allows us to process our food.

Healthy Agni is a healthy immune system and body cells that are charged with cellular respiration, metabolism, etc.-creating health.  So if digestion suffers we sometimes have to give it a break, stoke the Agni and choose soul sovereignty through better food choices, get sunlight,  find retreat spaces, and drink structured water. 🔥The gut, heart, brain are one.  Like the medicine wheel, the body elements need to come into balance.  Air, earth water and fire…which brings balance and healing to the spirit and helps us be in our center.  Life is a balancing act and we are always aiming for the center!

I am still working on my health, and long term cleansing.  There is more to do.   I believe we are at another break away point and the old garbage cannot come with us moving forward.  It’s Gemini season and I am looking at this through a hyper focused lense…but my Sagittarius nature is always aiming for the center.  I hope this helps someone.  Have a blessed day and love to you! 🙏🏼💖🌈~Michelle
